Regional content has always been the focus for CounterCulture. With the establishment of the very first comedy club in Chennai, CounterCulture managed to slice a nice big chunk of the Tamizh pie as well. Beginning with our focus on Tamizh comedy, we now also work with Tamizh mainstream media. The oldest television channel in the country joined hands with CounterCulture in order to bring out, for the very first time, Tamizh-focused Stand Up Comedy on mainstream television. This also marks our entry into media.

CounterCulture has also partnered with Radio Mirchi, the city’s largest Tamizh radio station to create curated Tamizh content whereby promoting regional Tamizh talent as well as content.

We aren’t just stopping there. We have only just begun.
