PlayStation League

CounterCulture worked with PlayStation to bring console gaming at its finest to college festivals in South India.
The PlayStation League at NIT Surathkal’s Incident’18 and Manipal Institute of Technology’s Revels’18 saw a participation of over 100 gamers battling for the title of ‘PSL Champion’.
CounterCulture liased with college gaming societies and festival management teams to bring order to the chaos that is a campus gaming event through dynamic organizing softwares, custom branding and decor, hardware and a tech setup to match the overwhelming crowd.
On the tournament side of things, gamers were given IDs that they retained through the tournament, tracking their progress on a custom leaderboard and receiving updates on upcoming scheduled matches.

The Experience Zone

We also setup an Experience Zone where non-console-gamers could get a feel of the PlayStation experience. Students who were not participating in the tournament could walk into the Experience zone and try out PlayStation’s latest exclusive games. While PS4 consoles were running playthroughs of games like The Last of Us and the latest, most exciting edition to the God of War franchise; the VR section took students through Sony’s most terrifying virtual reality horror titles like Until Dawn: Rush of Blood. The experience zone saw a floating crowd of over 1000 students at each college, converting an entire generation of PC gamers to the world of Console Gaming.
